Why did I start 'Voice for the Ocean?

 

Walking along Windansea beach in Southern California one morning, I was listening to my children getting excited about their morning beach clean-up, wondering what we would find at 'collectors’ corner' and how far across the ocean the various items of trash would have travelled. Their endless questions about helping the ocean basically inspired the creation of 'Voice for the Ocean'.

 

Sharing information and helping people understand what they can do to save our oceans, is something I feel very passionate about. The problems we face are so frightening, that an individual cannot be expected to save the planet but each of us can make changes in our lives, ask questions and challenge those we elect to protect our planet.​

​​I passionately believe that the consumer is an untapped source of power to change and change quickly. Empowering the consumer with knowledge so they change buying habits, will quickly result in companies coming up with environmentally friendly alternatives. Think about it and please understand that every individual can and does make a difference to the future of our oceans and planet.
